About Me
Hey Everyone! My name is Josh and as I mentioned before I'm an engineer by trade but have been a rockhound my whole life. Even as a little kid I would beg my family to let me buy those buckets of dirt to sluice out at the amusement parks. I moved to North Carolina for college when I realized that I was in a mineral rich part of the country. Since then I would spend my time wading creeks looking for Quartz, Garnets, Gold, and other minerals. Through my engineering craftsmanship I decided to invest in myself and learn to cut these rocks. I eventually decided to expand out and learn to cut my favorite gemstone, Opal.
In the page below I will continue to post some videos and stories from when I go out prospecting or film some of my cutting process. I hope this adds some extra sparkle to the stones you browse and receive.
