Why Ethiopian Opal?

Ethiopian Opal is relatively new on the market only gaining popularity in 2008. It's more readily available, lowering the cost, and its play-of-color is making a name for itself! Known for its full spectrum color with "electric" flashes. It's also hydroponic meaning it absorbs water, which can change the appearance of the stone when wet. This also gives the stone a more translucent appearance even when dry.
